Venetian Room is a premier event facility located in Downtown Atlanta where Southern Charm meets Atlanta Chic. Located in the LEED-EP Platinum award winning Hurt Building which has been a member of the National Register of Historic Places since 1977. Venetian Room opened in 2011 with a modern style offering the perfect backdrop for weddings, corporate events, and social parties.

The Venetian Room works directly with us to meticulously plan every wedding as if it were their own and take pride in every reception that they host. The goal is to be more than a wedding venue, but instead play a personal role in creating a memory that will last a lifetime. We know you will fall in love with their modern, metropolitan style and personality.

The History Of This Beautiful Space

Designed in 1913 by architect Joel Hurt, the Hurt Building, located in downtown Atlanta is a flatiron building and one of the country’s earliest skyscrapers. Its design incorporates Beaux Arts classicism and modernist architecture with convenient amenities such as a nine-story parking garage.

Strategically located between the Central Business District, Government District, and Georgia State University in downtown Atlanta, the Hurt Building has been a member of the National Register of Historic Places since 1977. To this day, it remains one of the most highly visible, recognizable, and architecturally important examples of early skyscraper construction in the United States.

Guests enter the Hurt Building through a domed rotunda that rests at the apex of the building’s 18 floors. An elaborate chandelier complements a ceiling adorned with sunbursts and a mosaic of gold leaf and rosettes. Initially part of the Federal Reserve Bank, Safari Hospitality Management leased the building’s restaurant space in April 2011 to redesign it with a modern style and name: Venetian Room.

The building, at 96 years old, received its LEED Platinum certification as a historical yet eco-friendly venue in 2009. Venetian Room is proud to grow in the history of the Hurt Building as well as the heart of downtown Atlanta.
